ASAP Africa
ASAP Africa was created in 1992 by Tom Arsenault and Elizabeth Bara who met and married as Peace Corps volunteer teachers in rural Swaziland. Living and working in rural African schools, where the determination and untapped potential was obvious, inspired the couple on their journey to discover a new approach to development work. The goal: to create an organization whereby development projects and activities are not "inflicted" upon local people but truly spearheaded by capable members within those communities.
